Aja Goare

Aja's first time on a television set was at the young and obviously very impressionable age of 5.

Her father ran audio for the local television news station in her home town Lima, OH. The many opportunities to sit at the anchor desk and play in front of the green screen stuck with her, and she went on to school to study it for real.

Ohio State University's BuckeyeTV studio was Aja's alternate home, considering she spent more time there than where she actually paid rent to live. She was the station manager for BuckeyeTV and also an anchor, reporter, video editor and producer. Not only were there few staff members, but she wanted to learn every aspect of making television.

Some of the highlights of Aja's college reporting career are the NCAA tournament following the Buckeyes, the Sundance Film Festival and President Obama's commencement speech at OSU.

In Summer 2013, Aja interned for FOX News in Los Angeles, working closely with reporters and the bureau chief. There she wrote scripts, conducted interviews and pitched story ideas. The experience was very involved and she got to assist in coverage of everything from border wars to Red Carpet events.

One of Aja's biggest passions is traveling and seeing new sights, so saying "yes" to Billings, MT - a place she had never been and 1,400 miles away from home was easy. Among her other interests, running, cooking and art top the list.

Aja loves meeting new people, jabbering and finding ways to laugh.
