Winter storm delays, closes schools; Billings schools use alternate bus routes

Huntley Project, Shepherd and Harlowton schools were closed due to weather on Wednesday.

In Ashland, St. Labre schools will be released at 1 p.m. and buses will run at that time.

Colstrip schools also announced changes for the school day Wednesday.

"Due to the extreme changes in our weather conditions, Colstrip Schools will be running out of town buses at 11:00 A M.," Superintendent Bob Lewandowski said in an email. "For students in town, school will dismiss at 1:00 P M today. The C P R D After School Program will host its regular students from school closure to until 6:00 P M. All practices are canceled including Missoula Children's Theatre." 

School District 2 Superintendent Terry Bouck said alternate bus routes will be used Wednesday afternoon. Those can be found on the district's website or the superintendent newsletter.
