GREAT FALLS - Daniel Sutherland has been charged in Great Falls with sexually assaulting three children.

One of the children is 11 years old, and the other two are both 4 years old.

A Great Falls police officer received a report from the Department of Family Services on Tuesday about the alleged sexual abuse.

When questioned by police, Sutherland said that he had been confronted by others about the allegations, and he denied touching any of the children.

He also said that he believed someone else was behind the allegations in order to get him in trouble because that person did not like him.

The court documents state that Sutherland has misdemeanor convictions for criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Prosecutors requested that bond for Sutherland be set at $50,000.
