Flu bug continues to move through Montana

BILLINGS - All 56 counties in Montana have reported at least one case of the flu, state health officials reported Friday.

In the last week from Jan. 28 to Feb. 3, 779 new cases were reported, bringing Montana's total to 4,269 cases.

Statewide, 24 people have died, mostly those older than 65, according to the Department of Public Health and Human Services.

No children have died in the state.

In Yellowstone County, the spread of flue has slowed. Only 30 new cases were reported in the last week, public health officials said.

The flu is continuing to run wild in Flathead County, where 124 new cases were reported.
