FORT BENTON - A Wolf Creek woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near Fort Benton.
Montana Highway Patrol dispatch reported a Ford F150, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Box Elder was driving northbound on US Highway 87 at a high rate of speed.
She attempted to pass another vehicle and collided with an oncoming Chevy Silverado. Both landed upside down. The victim, a 44-year-old woman from Wolf Creek, was partially ejected and died on scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Five others were injured in the crash and transported to the hospital. Speed is a suspected factor in the crash.
